NFT adoption among businesses is hindered by technical complexity, high costs, and a lack of user-friendly tools. Many existing solutions cater to blockchain-native users, leaving mainstream companies struggling to integrate NFTs into their workflows.
How might we empower non-technical teams to launch and manage NFT campaigns without getting lost in Web3 complexity?
To design a platform that truly met the needs of brands and developers, we grounded our design decisions in two key research methods:
Enterprises & Brands
NFTs for marketing, customer engagement, digital collectibles, or loyalty programs.

E-commerce & Retailers
Businesses seeking to offer NFT-based products, memberships, or rewards.

Developers & Tech Teams
Building NFT powered apps, marketplaces, or blockchain-based products.

Gaming & Metaverse platforms
Projects that require dynamic, utility-driven NFTs for in-game assets or virtual experiences.

To understand our users better, we explored their backgrounds, daily environments, and the tools they rely on. We dug into their job requirements, processes, and mental models to uncover patterns in how they work.
Following are the few questions I asked our power users:
What does a typical workday look like for you?
What tools or platforms do you use most often?
What’s the biggest challenge you face in your process?
What motivated you to explore NFTs in the first place?
The interviews highlighted recurring pain points and revealed opportunities where digital solutions could bring real value. These insights helped us map user needs to Mintology’s product vision and guide design decisions.
Confusion around Web3 jargon and technical workflows
A desire for no-code tools that felt familiar and business-friendly
Frustration with existing platforms that felt too developer-centric or consumer-focused
We want the benefits of NFTs without having to touch the blockchain.
We conducted a feature and UX audit of our competitor platforms, and identified key gaps:
Overcomplicated UX flows and poor onboarding
Focused on developer user persona
Lack of customization and integration options for brand campaigns
One-click account setup, getting businesses from 0 to Web3 in seconds. No friction, no fuss.
A clean, intuitive interface for businesses to create and manage NFTs, without any coding needed.
Redemption feature allows to users to claim NFTs by simply scanning scan a QR code; Merchant app enables in-store NFT redemptions, and makes tracking effortless.
In the NFT space, mobile-first design isn’t optional—it’s essential. Most users mint, browse, and trade NFTs on their phones. A seamless mobile experience boosts engagement, drives sales, and keeps platforms competitive in the fast-paced Web3 world. Miss mobile, miss the market!

Mediacorp
Mediacorp teamed up with Mintology for their 2023 Lunar New Year event, offering Happy Bunny NFTs with year-long perks and collectible figurines.

Mastercard
Mastercard teamed up with Mintology to boost event engagement through an NFT Scavenger Hunt. Expected claim rates were 10–20%, but real engagement hit 50–60% which was a major win.
Mintology taught me that innovation isn’t about adding more, it's about removing friction until what's left feels magical. ✨
